The Rivers has 450,000 square feet of gaming entertainment. Over 2,900 slot machines and 107 table games. There is a Poker Room with 30 tables. They have 4 bars and 5 restaurants including a great buffet. There are two free self-serve beverage areas if you become thirsty. They also have a nice gift shop.
There is a private club called the 44six Club. They have discounted drinks and more for you to enjoy. To qualify for membership to this club you must earn a lot of points on your Players Card. They also have a High Limit room.
The Rivers Casino has a great location on the bank of the Ohio River. When you look up river to your left, you will see Downtown Pittsburgh, Mount Washington and our famous Point. The Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio rivers are all visible from the Casino. Just outside the Casino’s back door is the 1,000 seat outdoor ampitheater.
The Meadows Racetrack and Casino http://meadowsgaming.com is located 25 miles outside of Pittsburgh in Washington County. We have made the trip in 30 minutes. It is not a sure bet and does take a little longer at certain times of the day.
To enter the Casino you must be 21 years old. They will check your ID if you look too young to enter. You will be given a bracelet or a stamp on your hand. If you are at least 18 years old you can bet on the horses at The Meadows. That is how we got our start.
The Meadows Racetrack and Casino will let babies, children and anyone under the age of 18 enter the racetrack area. Anyone who would like to watch the horse races is welcome to do so. If you are under 18 years old you can’t bet on the horses.
The Meadows Racetrack and Casino has two free parking garages with no age restrictions. They also have numerous outdoor parking lots. The 24/7 free shuttles will take you to the Casino. You can also walk from the parking lots to the Casino entrance. Remember where you are parked. Valet parking is also available at the front entrance.
The first garage has elevators to take you to the Casino. They are clearly marked to take you to the Fourth floor. You can only enter the Casino if you are 21 years old. In the second garage you will need to go to the First Floor to enter the Casino.
The Meadows has 350,000 square feet of gaming entertainment and much more to do. There are over 3,300 slot machines and 84 table games. The Poker Room has 26 tables. They have a nice gift shop, 24 Bowling lanes, two large Food Courts, 2 bars, restaurants, 2 High Limit Rooms, a Racebook and a horse racetrack.
All the Casinos have cashier cages with cashiers to cash your vouchers or to make change for you. They also have automated change machines everywhere in the Casino for your convenience.
You do not have to put a $20 bill into the slot machines to start playing. The machines will take at least one dollar. You can’t put coins into the machines. Only vouchers and paper money are accepted. One dollar bill is really all it takes to get started.
Depending on your Players Card useage, you may qualify for the Club House and/or the Adios Room. You will enjoy discounted drinks and free snacks in those private clubs. Sometimes they even have free meals.
They have live and simulcast horse racing. The live local racing is held on Monday and Tuesday afternoon at 12:55pm. On Wednesday and Friday night they start at 6:55pm. Schedules are subject to change.
